Dave Marriner, CMO/Investor Relations
Raised in the family stationery, art supplies and bookstore business, established in Laguna Beach in 1927, Dave cut his teeth on the retail sales floor and later helped grow the business into a Southern California chain during the 70s and 80s. After years gleaning real-world knowledge, his next step was to take the concepts he learned of quality products and customer service to pursue a career in marketing and development. “My experience as an on-the-ground sales person in the retail world translated into a common sense approach to marketing and developing luxury real estate across the United States,” says Dave. He became the youngest Vice President and Director of the California and Nevada divisions of UK-based Taylor Woodrow Homes and won the coveted MAME (Major Achievement in Merchandising Excellence) for Marketing Director in 1991.
Dave then started Marriner Real Estate, LLC that, in 14 years, has brought to fruition projects as diverse as The Pointe at Third Creek in Incline Village, NV, the exclusive Yellowstone Club in Big Sky, MT, Arrow Creek Country Club in the Reno/Tahoe foothills of Nevada, Coconut Plantation at Ko Olina, Oahu, HI and Dolphin Cove Development, USVI. With many affiliations stemming from Silicon Valley and the Bay Area, Dave kept his finger on the pulse of the booming tech industry and its revolution of sales across the emerging trends of web and mobile. Dave believes that Retail Navigator’s cloud computing based solution is a “game-changing platform” that will eliminate the current supply chain complexity. As Retail Navigator is reaching critical mass, it was time for Dave to return to his retail roots with his wealth of marketing experience and personal resources to help take the venture global. Dave is responsible for Consumer Marketing Projects and Investor Relations.
